The North Mandurah Pet Hotel Boarding Kennels is the dream come true for owner/operators Simon and Steph Gibson. All can be managed by any owner who wants to put in the hard yards for their pet. Steph can help you deal with reactivity and the other difficult behavioral problems that other trainers won't deal with, or are unsuccessful with. Steph has training to help you with your reactive (aggressive) dog. Using biology and positive training, these unhappy dogs are rewired to accept and relax in the proximity of other dogs. These methods are essential to achieve the precise positions and happy work required for today's Trial winners. Puppy and Good Manners classes are positive based to keep it fun and rewarding for both owner and dog. For those wishing to compete, Clicker Training and Operant Conditioning are Steph's specialties. Understanding 'how' your dog learns, is the first step to a successful and mutually enjoyable experience. Early Puppy Training, and Obedience & Herding at Trial Standard are all catered for. Owners are taught how to train their own dogs, behavioral problems, basic home Good Manners, and how to keep the good behavior up. Lessons include theory as well as practical hands on instruction. Purpose built schoolrooms can be used for both day and night training, safe, and open out onto a large fenced, lawned arena where off leash training can be safely performed. It's fenced, private and free from wandering strays, safe for dogs of all ages. The "For Life" Dog Training School is situated on the Gibson's 5 acres. She has also organized for many of these trainers to come to WA to give clinics. "THE AIM OF FOR LIFE DOG TRAINING SCHOOL IS TO INCREASE THE JOY OF OWNER AND PET RELATIONSHIPS, THEREBY ASSURING A LONG AND HAPPY LIFE FOR ALL DOGS." Over the years Steph has attended many Clinics, both in Australia and overseas, given by some of the worlds most renowned dog trainers. Inspection is welcome on appointment. Book early for school holiday periods to avoid disappointment. A deposit is required for any school holiday period. Clients are advised to book early for Christmas and Easter to avoid disappointment. All dogs must have a current vaccination certificate. Outside are shaded, lawned exercise yards allow for frequent group romps, or individual use as your pet prefers. Various sized pens indoors allow for 1 to 4 small dogs, so that ''mates" can stay together just like at home. Small and elderly pets are housed indoors and away from the larger dogs. There is also over 1000 2 m of open, free run exercise yards for dogs in this section for outside free time. Kennels for large to medium breeds are double sized at 62m with a brick kennel and long run. Each kennel and run is fully covered. The Pet Hotel offers distinctly different housing for both large and small pets styled on breed requirements. This passion is yours to cash in on. Be it for away from home care, rehabilitation of behavioral problems, training to competition standard, or starting the new family pet off with positive guidance for the whole family, you can count on the Gibson's life experience to be just what you and your pet need. Simon and Steph have been notable competitors in dog sports since the mid 1980's, producing some of Australia's top performing dogs in 5 different disciplines. The Gibson's live on site with their tribe of dogs, cats and birds. After 20 years of working in animal industries Simon and Steph opened the North Mandurah Pet Hotel Boarding Kennels and Dog Training School in 1991. Situated in just East of Mandurah, but is also the home of "For Life" Dog Training School, the Pet Hotel is not only a boarding kennel, in Western Australia, 2 km from the freeway, and the Gaitmaster German and Australian Shepherds.
